Starts with chairlift ➡️Zipline x 4 ➡️ free fall controlled [slow] ➡️ Buggy (10 min ride / 5 min river dip to get mud off/ 10 min ride back ) ➡️ Horseback Riding (cruise control horses know the route they've taken 100x) ➡️ buffet sooo good. Theres a pig swirling and cooking pig🐖(pop and water not included) ➡️ safari and petting zoo visit with chocolate/coffee/booze tasting.
Worth it.
Dont hesitate.

So, we had VIP option of tickets for this park (tickets bought in resort). At the end we ended up with 10+ group of people. All compliments for tour guy, really interested guy and with his enthusiasm for explaining and instructing everything, the adventure was even better!
Firstly, when we arrived from our resort, we took horse ride, then at first stop we had opportunity to milk a cows. On our return to the stable, we also have a opportunity to lead live stock to their stables, Dominican bulls and cows. After that in our package we had a free snacks and drinks. After refresh, we took a the funicular that took us to the top of the hill/mountain to begin our adventure on five zip lines!
After zip-lines adventure was over, there was a buggy ride in which there is no theoretical chance of not getting dirty literally to the skin! A ride through the rainforest, a combination of dry and muddy roads that brought us to a small artificially made village that picturesquely depicts the old-fashioned way of life in the countryside. A lot of domestic animals that we fed with already prepared food, a walk through the dwellings/houses where local people once lived and finally a tasting of the famous Mamajuna and chocolate drinks. Another free refreshment with all kinds of cold drinks and the continuation of the journey towards the source of the Holy River where we had the opportunity to swim and take a short break of about 15 minutes so that we could all freshen up together before returning.
The return to the base was also interesting considering the buggy ride. Arriving at the base also marked the final showering action to wash all that mud off us. Of course, it is recommended that you have other clothes for riding buggy vehicles, our recommendation is that you literally ride in your swimming trunks and bathing suits because, simply put, you will be dirty from head to toe and at the same time, you will be able to save the better quality clothes that you usually wear.
After showering, drying and going to lunch. The choice of food is wide but not like in resorts, certainly no one will stay hungry and everyone will find something to their liking. After that, before return through forest villages and settlements to your respective resort, you can review pictures made by cameraman and if you like you can purchase them. In our case, we had them included in our VIP tickets so they were 'free' of charge.
So, why not to leave that last five star? This is due to the ban on the use of mobile devices. Now, in today's age, and looking at it from a marketing point of view, it's a totally unnecessary. For sure, it is understandable that in the end the Hacienda still want you to buy pictures and photos and actually enjoy the adventure without any worries, but on the other hand, they are limiting themselves so that the real picture of the park is not passed on and in fact, in this way, they make their job with marketing easier. There were a lot of things that we could record with a cell phone without any security risk, but that's the policy. Considering that we didn't want to cause problems and carry mobile phones with us, we really did the whole adventure with enthusiasm, but at the end, this is something where they can search for improvement.
The river dip needs to be longer. The muddy buggy ride is absolutely the awesomest if you don't mind getting a bit dirty. The bus ride feels a bit long at over 90 mins but it gives you a good glimpse of the real life of a villager in Dominican Republic. Dominican countryside is serene and beautiful. People of the Dominican Republic are warm and beautiful
I can confidently say as an equestrian that over half of the horses were emaciated and/or had mange. I couldn’t bring myself to ride one. They seemed very overworked and fatigued (and this was early in the morning as one of the first groups).
The staff was pretty nice. The zip lining was pretty awesome. The other activities were okay. I thought about giving it 1 star because of how upsetting the horse care was but gave it 2 for these other redeeming qualities.
I understand it’s a third world country but this popular tourist establishment is certainly making enough to properly take care of its horses.
Also, another thing of note is you have to stay with the same group all day, which I did not originally realize and it wasn’t super transparent in the booking portion. You can’t choose when to do certain activities ~ you have to follow the schedule of the group.
*EDITED TO LOWER TO 1 STAR AS MANAGEMENT LACKS ACCOUNTABILITY FOR HORSE NEGLECT ~ I saw what I saw. There is a difference between smaller stature and ribs showing and the horse clearly struggling to perform with stiff and swollen joints. Many of the horses were uncooperative and needed to be pulled along and/or firmly handled to do their job. I didn’t want to mention before but I also saw what I believe was a dead horse lying in the field on my way out of the establishment. If management thinks this is proper horse care they are sorely mistaken and should be educating themselves properly to responsibly own horses. Having land for horses to roam and giving them days off is not enough. There is no excuse to the amount of horses that had mange. Horses are also not being properly groomed before being saddled up and have thick matted sweat and dirt coated into their fur while riding. I would call animal welfare but I’m guessing it’s a joke as many people in this country do not appear to be properly caring for their livestock and other animals.
Tips:
The buggies are fun, but you will get dirty! Be sure to wear a swimsuit as well as sunglasses or goggles. A bandana or facemask is helpful if you aren’t wanting mud on your face/lips. The river was a great place to wash off, but careful of the slippery stones. Having a change of clothes for after is key. Also, bring a towel, as you can rinse off after the buggy ride.
The staff shuttles you pretty quickly between activities, and lunch is last. If you tend to get hungry, plan to bring some money to grab a quick snack before the buggies (most waiting time for an activity).
Overall, I am so happy we chose this activity. Being a full day, I was somewhat hesitant. So thankful we were able to experience Punta Cana this way. Thank you to the wonderful staff for an amazing experience!
